Nathia Gali is at the end of the Murree Ridge, and in the summer it is cooler, and less crowded than Murree. • Even though the three places mentioned above are related, they are not the same trip.A hotel at the Murree Mall is within walking distance of the bazaar and the chairlift. A hotel in Bhurban is built in the resort, and is about 11 kilometers away from the Mall. PC Bhurban has amenities for corporate events such as conference halls, banquet rooms and an outdoor amphitheater with views of pine forests. These likes of amenities make PC Bhurban a fantastic choice for corporate events. There is a golf course on the property, and it is situated close to a well-maintained golf course set in the forested hills of Bhurban.
This is an obvious choice for: destination weddings, corporate retreats, and international vacations where a five-star resort experience is the goal, families who prefer a full-service resort and honeymoon vacations.
Being situated in a pine forest at 6,000 feet providing valley views in Kashmir from the rooms makes it one of the more unique experience of a five-star stay in Pakistan. For summer weekends you need to book at least 4-6 weeks in advance, and for any holiday during Eid you need to book well in advance.

The Grand Hotel Cecil was constructed in 1851 and changed hands from Rivett Carnac to John Faletti from Italy in 1916. He developed it as one of the best hotels in Murree and stayed at the Cecil were Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Lord Mountbatten. Faletti also stayed at the Cecil where he was the last owner before it was acquired by Pearl-Continental Hotels and Resorts in 2023 and renamed the Cecil Hotel by Pearl-Continental as their Heritage hotel in Murree.
The Cecil, a Victorian hill station architecture building, opened in the 1800's and began its history as a social hub. Today, this building is owned by the PC Group and runs at the same service standards as the PC Group. The Cecil's social history puts it at the heart of the life and times of the town of Murree. The building is just a short walk from The Mall, which puts the amenities of the Kashmir Point Trail and Murree's bazaar easily at the guest's disposal.
This building is perfect for history-minded travelers, travelers who like to see buildings that show colonial history, couples, and anyone who likes to stay in the center of a town.
The other upper tier hotel of this area, Radisson Blu, has just taken modern international service to stay constant with their brand, and offers guests the opportunity to earn brand loyalty points in Murree. This hotel has a more modern design and offers guests a newer standard of room quality. PC Bhurban has its Hill Resort Competition with the Cecil. Unlike the two, the Radisson Blu does not boast the same classic architecture.
Stay at Radisson Blu if you are on a corporate booking and travel frequently, and need a new- standard of room.

Having the best location for Mall attractions of all the hotels in Murree puts this one as a clear front runner. As the longest established hotel in mid-range, the service at each management change stays consistent making it a top choice for families who want central location without a 5-star price.
The road that stretches northeast from Murree through hill stations in the Galiyat ends at Nathia Gali and the Ayubia National Park at around 2,509 meters. This section of the Galiyat is quieter than the towns and even cooler in the summer and snowier in the winter.
PTDC Motels in the Galiyat. Government operated hotels in Nathia Gali and some of the other Galiyat stations. Government managed hotels, with a functional and basic approach to accommodation, with a good location relative to the trails.
Smaller holiday homes and guesthouses. The Galiyat has a plethora of new managed holiday homes and Guest houses which provide a fantastic alternative to the Murree bazaar. These range in standard considerably and are worth asking your operator about.
Hiking, having a family, and looking for an escape from the crowds of Murree Town are all fantastic reasons to head to the Galiyat.
Murree Mall and town. Being close to the chairlift, the bazaar, Kashmir Point and social activity of the hill station, suit short stays or weekend trips and families looking for entertainment and scenery. Cecil Hotel and Brightlands will fit best.
Bhurban. As a resort destination, this area is most suited for golf, a pool, spa, and pine forest. Additionally, it caters to corporate events, destination weddings, and a full week vacation on property with family. PC Bhurban should be looked at.
Nathia Gali and Galiyat. A good choice for walking and bird watching. Cooler evenings with access to trails. The PTDC and smaller guesthouses are a good choice for this.
Murree is overcrowded and not much pleasant with traffic in the summer (June to August). PC Bhurban is a better choice than the Mall hotels since the resort gives guests space that is beyond the room. The Cecil's Mall proximity is most bothersome on weekends when the road becomes slow.
Winter (December to February) brings snow, and PC Bhurban is a better choice with amenities that include a heated pool and extended stay activities. The Cecil works as an atmospheric choice for a couple. Guests should confirm the availability of heating and hot water from the Mall Road properties in winter.
Autumn brings beautiful leaves and the best weather for hiking at Galiyat. Murree gets the least tourists and has the lowest prices.
Booking for summer: Double-check the room and the view associated with it. Many properties in Murree call the view from their rooms a hill view, but the view exists for only a few of them.
Booking for winter: Enquire whether the heating is central or room-based and if it is on 24/7 or on generator hours. If a property turns off the heating for the entire night in the month of January, it is not family friendly.
Enquire about Bhurban's accessibility when there is heavy snowfall. Bhurban's road is not connected to the Murree Mall and can also be blocked due to heavy snowfall.
Enquire about the availability of a generator and if hot water is available at all times, even during load shedding. Load shedding in Murree occurs frequently.
For the Cecil, confirm which building is being booked since the property is divided into different sections that vary in quality.
Book the summer Eid weekends in advance, as the better rooms are usually booked before the summer season starts.
Of all the options, PC Bhurban has the best retreat facilities and offerings. This includes multiple conference and banquet halls, an amphitheater, a golf course and walking paths, all with group dining capability.
The Cecil accommodates small scale corporate events in a heritage setting, appropriate for a senior leadership offsite in which the building is part of the experience.
